Smile Wear (2021) - Wearable AI

Picture
'Smile wear' is a smart blouse which lights up whenever anyone is smiling at the person who wears it. This interactive blouse is the first of a series of smart wearables which utilize AI recognition algorithms. Detection of a smiling face is enabled by an emotion recognition AI model which is hosted by a Raspberry-Pi micro computer. The computer, operated by a battery, sits inside a pocket at the back side of the blouse. It is connected to a tiny camera which is attached to the collar of the blouse. A live-stream of the surrounding environment is processed in real-time so that viewers can interact with it simply by smiling. The LEDs which light-up the blouse were embroidered to the fabric through a soft-circuit.

The AI Apologetic T-Shirt (2021) - Wearable AI

Picture
The AI-Apologetic-T-Shirt is a smart wearable technology. The shirt is able to recognize the emotions of people who are standing in front of the wearer. Using emotion recognition AI technology it can detect if someone becomes angry or sad during a conversation with the person wearing the shirt. Once an angry or a sad face is detected, an LED panel which is attached to the shirt, lights up and shows texts which are asking for forgiveness.

Surveillance Bra for Living Sculpture (2021) - Wearable AI

Picture
Drawing inspiration from Nam June Paik’s TV Bra, the AI Surveillance Bra represents a female cyborgian power with which technological advancement becomes an extension of the female body. It also aims to ridicule face recognition technology and posit a future in which even our most intimate relationships may be mediated by AI systems. The AI Bra may also open up a discussion regarding violence against women and futuristic tools which can be used to prevent this phenomenon.
