Virtual Chairs (2018)

Picture

Hello and welcome to the DARK - A world of magical, weird, brilliant, virtual chairs. You should never underestimate the power of virtual chairs - these objects are bound to surprise you… you may find yourself doing things that you did not expect to do…. if this happens along your journey and you feel a little uncomfortable… you can always blame the chair.
Once you enter the space, please remain silent unless instructed otherwise. You are kindly asked to wear your mask at all times. While the music is playing you may wonder around the room, however as it stops you should pick a chair and follow the instructions on the note attached to it. Should you refuse to follow these instructions you may look around for another available chair.

This is a church pew. The church is dark yet it is still open to the public. You enter but there is no one there. As you walk in you see a large cross hung above the altar and some burning candles. Outside you suddenly hear crows…”kwo…kwo…”. You may use this chair by kneeling right by it. Place both knees on the ground. open your palms and bring them together to your chest. Press your palms to one another and spread your fingers. Look down. Contemplate.

This is a Hot Scene chair. It can accommodate up to two people at the same time. If you sit on it by your self, sit back and lean to the right side. Have one of your legs rest on the chair’s handle. Place your hands casually on each of your thighs. Smile confidently and look intently at the other people in the room. Try to make eye contact with those you look at. If you wish, you may stay seated on this chair until someone else decides to join you. When another person joins, you may cuddle, kiss, nuzzle one another and whisper in each other’s ears. If you identify as a good girl you may want to make some more room to this person - kneel down on the floor while facing the other person. Place your hands gently on their thighs. Look up to their face with a begging expression on your face.

This is an electrical chair. Sit all the way to the back. Your feet flat on the ground. Place your hands on each handle. Close your eyes and wait. You may not leave this chair unless someone approaches and allows it.
